Spotlight: Black Drawings and Other Things You Didn't Know About at Mercer College
Artwork Spotlight highlights chosen works from across the span of my artistic practice for a period of time from one day up to a month.
Currently, the spotlight is on selected images of works included in my solo exhibition "Black Drawings and Other Things You Didn't Know About", on view in The Gallery at Mercer County Community College until December 18, 2024.
This show consists of works made since 2020. Some haven't been exhibitied previously, others have and there are two new wall collages made specifically for this exhibition, as well as a new painting on panel.
The two wall pieces, I Wanted You to Have This and There Was No Mistaking What Happened, are the fouth iteration of my wall-based installations. They were made on site without any preplanned ideas nor sketches and contain some recycled drawings from previous wall installations. Additional elements have been added to these new pieces.
What follows in this section are installation photos of the works and photos of some of the individual paintings.
